A: Identification: The easiest way is to check the label/sticker on your ESC — it usually states “BLHeli_S” or “BLHeli_32”. If not, refer to the product manual or specifications.
Software Compatibility: Do NOT mix up the configuration tools. Use BLHeliSuite for BLHeli_S and BLHeliSuite32 for BLHeli_32. Attempting to use the wrong suite will fail to detect the ESC.
